24 Mountains and Facing selection.

1.Choose the location of the house.

There are multiple ways of doing that.
    1.Add the name after clicking the magnifying icon,
    2. Search for it on the map manually with zoom in using the mouse wheel or zoom controler.
    3. Add the coordinates in the map(below the Degrees box.
    4.Easiest(although slow and not privacy friendly) way is to just click 'Find my location' if you are physically on the place.
    Zoom in as much as comfortable for more detailed location. After you click the place - timezone, daylight saving, true north alignment and the rest of the info will autofill.

    2. Get the facing degrees.


    By clicking Show Selector Overlay, a Selector will show to point to the position of the facing of the house. Upper right corner of the map will show the degrees. When enabled Map will lock, for ease of use.

    3. Use 24 Mountain Compass Ring when needed.


    For some formulas knowing the position of the Mountain from the 24 Mountains rings in the Lo Pan may be needed. Clicking Show Compass Overlay below the map is a good way to be able to use that ring and position it on whatever is needed(Water Mouth, Qi Mouth, items in the rooms of the house etc.) Mouse over the segment of the mountain will display in the middle of the ring the relevent information about the mountain.

    If one is using True North, alignment with True North happens automatically for choosen place when Align to True North is enabled.

    Changing zoom level with the mouse wheel and enable/disable different selectors and overlays can provide relatively easy access to calculations of different aspects of Flying Star and other systems.

Select Latitude and Longitude of a place, or find it on the map(Search - enter name, or just click, use controls or mouse wheel to zoom in).
Can add numbers below Degrees and click East/North to change the direction.

Still considered in Beta testing phase. This can hopefully be helpful, as some of this measurements and alingments can be difficult to make without. The idea for the True North alignment are from Jasmina Heilbronner.
Update. 7.Dec.2023. As we are using open source hosting for our tiles, we have to limit the amount of zoom level, so it doesn't create too much strain in there. The hope is people can still position the directions based on larger landforms and directions. As soon as we find fre e open source hosting with more available traffic rules, we will switch,although may not happen soon. Until then has to limit the zoom level to 12.
Update. 28.Dec.2023. We added layers with different map tiles to the calculator. One can choose what to see. THe layers with google maps have maximum zoom as well. We recommend the sattelite view there for work with the calculators.
